Students thrive best when their curricular and co-curricular activities work together. This policy is intended to support student success in both arenas. Leadership roles in co-curricular activities (captains or club/organization officers) have significant demands on their energies and time, and so are expected to maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA to hold leadership positions in those organizations. The Vice President for Student Affairs/Dean of Students and the Provost will review students whose academic performance falls below this mark and in collaboration with advisors will determine next steps. In the same way, general members are expected to maintain good standing (2.0 cumulative GPA), and those falling below this mark will be reviewed.
